Have Backups Run Every Day, Week, or Every 2 Hours This is a PC Clock. A PC Alarm Clock that has over 1000 time zones. This is alarm clock software for Windows. World Time Alarm Clock is clock software with Zulu time as well as over 1000 others. Forget dual time, have 20 or more on the screen at once! You could only have one time zone if you wish. I want a clock on screen. I want a clock to see what time it is in Baghdad, Iraq. World Time Alarm Clock is easy and inexpensive! The local time will be set for Gainesville, Texas by default. Gainesville, Texas and Zulu time are the default time zones to sellect. It is pretty easy to create relative alarms to the current time. For example: You can click the Edit Alarm Click button, then click the + 5 Minutes Button, then the Save Alarms Button to set the alarm clock to sound in exactly five minutes. It is that easy. The buttons to set the alarm are very easy to use. You have plus or minus buttons. The value of these buttons are: 1, 5, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year. If you need to set an alarm for two weeks, just hit the +1 Week button two times. You can also set things for any time in the future, you can use the Noon Today button to for the alarm to be set to 12:00:00 or 6 pm today. This forces the alarm to go to the exact second. You can still use the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years buttons, to add or subtract from these times. The first time you want to use the First Thing in the Morning button, you will need to type in a time in the text box that you want to use. For example: you can type 4:00 am, or you can type 04:00. Once you have a time set for the First Thing in the Morning, you can use the First Thing in the Morning button to set the alarm to that time on the following day. The Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, and Sat buttons also use the First Thing in the Morning time. With these buttons you can only use times in the future. For example, if today is Wednesday, you click the Wed button, the alarm will be set to the First Thing in the Morning time, for next week. The alarm clock has the option of playing a sound or running a program. The default is play a sound. If you want to play any other sound files, to include .wav files and .mp3 files, you click on the Play Sound button to select the sound file. You can give each alarm a name but you do not have to. If you do not enter a name, the default name "Generic Alarm" will be used. There are several options you can have the alarms set for. The One Time Only is the default setting. The type of alarms are: One Time Only Recurring Every Day Recurring Every Week Recurring Every Week Day Recurring Every Weekend Recurring Every Monday Recurring Every Tuesday Recurring Every Wednesday Recurring Every Thursday Recurring Every Friday Recurring Every Saturday Recurring Every Sunday Recurring Every Month Recurring Last Day of Month Recurring First Day of Month Recurring Every Quarter Recurring Simi-Annually Recurring Annually Recurring Every X If you select the Recurring Every X type, you will also have the option to run these every X: Seconds Minutes Hours Days Weeks Months Years Every Sunday morning at 2:01 am, World Time Alarm Clock will check the date to see if it is time to change Daylight Saving Time, and change all of the time zones as needed. World Time Alarm Clock makes a great calendar as well. You can run any program from World Time Alarm Clock buy typing in run on the action line in the Alarm Editor screen. The default action is going to be play chimes.wav file. Details for World Time Alarm Clock One of the finer options in the alarm settings of World Time Alarm Clock is what we call the "Rain Reset / Reset Seed Time" button. This is pretty much what it sounds like. Let's say you have an alarm set every four days to remind you to water the lawn. Two days after you water, it rains. Now you can go into click the Edit Alarm Clock button, select the alarm out the list, then click the Rain Reset / Reset Seed Time, and now your alarm will be set for the exact same time of day but on the new day four days from today. We call it the Rain Reset / Reset Seed Time for just that reason. That is what we actually use it for. You can see many uses for such things. World Time Alarm Clock makes it easy to create non-standard alarms and makes them easy to edit as your situation changes. We also have very high demand for a "Coffee Alarm". We set my alarm to go off in five minutes from now, go make some coffee, then we get an alarm when it is time for the coffee to be done. Setting up reminders is very fast. You can even use as many non-standard cycles as you wish. For example, you want to run an application on your computer every 2 days, you can do it pretty fast. This type alarm can be setup for a number of seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. All recurring alarms in World Time Alarm Clock are automatically reset as per your setup. World Time Alarm Clock comes with a couple of real cool ways of connecting to other software you may have. the c:\occc\curzuluoff.txt file has the name of the time zone that you selected as local time. The file also has the current Zulu time offset. For example: Midwest City, Oklahoma -5 If we were not in Daylight Saving Time at this time and location, the number would be a -6. Central Standard Time is minus six hours from Zulu or GMT. Web Hits uses this file if it is there. If it is not there, Web Hits will use the number you typed in for offset for Zulu. World Time Alarm Clock also creates a c:\occc\worldtime5.zon file. This is a flat text file that can be used by any other software you might have. There are three fields of interest here and they are: The name of the time zone or location Standard Time Offset from Zulu 0 or 1 0 if the location does not use Daylight Saving Time, such as Korea or Arizona 1 if the location does use Daylight Saving Time. The c:\occc\timezone5.zon file has all of the information for over the 1000 places or time zones preloaded in World Time Alarm Clock. This can be a real time saving way to port data to other software! After World Time Alarm Clock is working, the time information can be used from other applications. You may access c:\occc\wtp5.txt from other applications. c:\occc\wtalarm.txt is a list of current alarms for the alarm clock. is a list of time zones that you have selected.
