| House Map is a graphical, timer household maintenance program. You Can Use House Map as a Seating Chart You Can Use House Map for a School Building House Map Makes a Great Apartment Building Mapper A Graphical, Timer Household Maintenance Program Software to Time Coffee Making. House Map Software to Time Watering Each Section of the Lawn Software to Time Grilling Such as T-Bones and Burgers PC Program to Time Your Washing and Drying PC Program to Time Pretty Much Anything. House Map Precision Timer to Test Software Or Hardware Even If You Rent, You Will Want This Software Class Room Seating Chart Software Precision Water Timer Software In our example we have the application running two times. The left side is running a file that we called backyard", the right is a picture called frontyard. If you have multiple timers going, you will get an alarm after each timer completes. The sound can be selected for each setup you have. In our example we have two different setups, one for the front yard and one for the back yard. In our example, you can have a unique sound for each setup (or configuration file). The timers for each setup is limited only by space on the screen. In our test we put up to 71 icons in a 1280 by 1024 screen. You can start many instances of House Map at once, and each one will remember it's own graphics, sound, and individual timers. Add to that each instance can run one timer at a time. For example, you are grilling hamburgers, you can have an 8 minute timer labeled "Preheat", when that timer gets to no time left, you will get your audio alarm, the timer in question will turn from green to red, and it will automatically start the next timer you have preset. A couple of places you can use this off the top of my head are grilling or cooking food. Now you've started your hamburgers and then decide you would like some baked potatoes, so you can start a separate timer for the potatoes with out messing up any current timer that is going. We use this to water the lawn with the purpose of keeping the lawn very healthy without wasting water. If you have ever turned on a sprinkler and waited till you guessed it had enough? If you want to have a nice lawn take the guess work out. When I mow, I gauge what parts of the turf seem soft and what parts are too dry, so I can make the necessary changes to House Map's timers for each location on the front and each location on the back yard. This is precision watering! You do not need any graphics for this software, but it makes it look real good, and you can drag and drop your individual timers or icons, right where you want it on your display. For precision coffee we use 5.6 minutes. When you set your timers, you can use seconds, minutes, or hours. You can for example, have .6 hours or 1.6 hours for any particular reason. We have 50 minutes for checking the wash machine and dryer. You will find many more uses of your own. Is food going to burn while I am cooking? No way. It is now smart to surf the web or read your email while doing stuff such as watering, wash, cooking, and such. My own T-Bone recipe is 9 minute preheat, 8 minutes for the first side, 8 minutes for the second side, and 10 minutes to preheat the grill one more time to clean it. Now this is a well done steak. I do hamburgers at 4 minutes each side. Once you have a timer set started you do not have to touch the key board or mouse. The timer to go green is the thing you have to do next. The money you spend for House Map, will never come close to the money and time spent doing things such as over watering, cooking, and such. When you start House Map, you will be shown a list of all existing files you have created for it. You will also see Help and Shortcut. The Help is the documentation for House Map. The Shortcut will allow you to create shortcut files on your computer desktop that automatically start and stop. The name of the shortcut file will be what ever the file is plus a ".bat" added. If you double click Shortcut, you will be taken to a new window with yellow text to create the actual shortcut for a given file, double click on any of the yellow text in question. Note that if you have reached the last alarm and your have a sound file playing, and you have it set to automatically stop, House Map will not actually stop until the sound file is done playing. If you are viewing buttons on House Map, note that 30 seconds of no keyboard or mouse activity will make all the buttons disappear. To get them to reappear, just move the mouse over the window in question. House Map buttons. Save As will over write any existing file without warning. Save As will always save the file name you see in the text box just to the right of the Save As button. Print will force all of the buttons to blank out and print out the current screen to the default printer. If you do not see a printout, check the default printer. Sound button will show you the current Drive, Folder, and files. If you want to select a different sound file, just double click the file you wish to use. This can be any sound file that Windows Media Player can play, but we suggest using only .wav or .mp3 file for future use with other programs. After you double click the sound file in question, you will hear it play. If you click the Save As button, your new sound file will play in the future. To make the sound folder options go away, click the Sound button again. Sort Order button will display the "Sort Order" text. Keep in mind, this is the order that these alarms will go in when hitting the Start All button or when running a shortcut created by House Map. These can be any text, but to make it simple, I suggest you use only numbers here to for things to happen in your specific order. The numbers will start at the lowest first. To make the Sort Order text go away, click the Sort Order button again. Add Box will create a white box on the upper left side of your display. Move the mouse the white box, push and hold the left mouse button, move the mouse to put the white box any place on your screen you want it to show up, release the left mouse button. Note that you must Save As before this will actually be saved in your setup. After you have added a new box and moved it to where you want it, you will see two lines of text. The first line of text is the time you want this to stay on. You may but 5 min for 5 minutes, or you can type out seconds, minutes, hours. They do not have to be whole numbers. So you may have 1.2 hours. The second line of text is something for you to remember what this is for. For example, it could be T-Bone, Coffee, Wash, Water, this text is anything you want it to be. We suggest keeping this to one word, but you can do anything you want to with it. Picture button will open the Drive, Folder, and file. If you double click a file name for the picture, you will see the new selection in the back ground of the window in question. Note you must to a Save As to make the new picture stay in this file. To make the file selection tools go away, click the Picture button again. Save button will save the current file, with current settings, and current file name. This is the same as the Save As button, but you do not get a chance to rename or create a new file. Start All will start the timers sequentially. Once the first timer reaches 0 time left, the second timer will turn to green and start. This will continue until the last timer is done. Toggle Sort button will display the Sort Order text for each timer, and turn from black to white in the order that it will execute the timers. To make the toggle stop, just click the Toggle Sort button again. Help button is for the software documentation. Show All button will show you all of the files you have created using House Map, Help, and Shortcut.
