of

JAMES M. O'CONNOR

Qualified as

Visual Basic Programmer
Network Security Manager
Network Engineer
Computer/Communications Systems Engineer/Developer

OBJECTIVE

Long-term career goal is to be the most sought after Information Technology (IT) person in the world! Use my 25 years of Information Technology (IT) experience to continue to grow with advancing Computer/Communications Network Technologies! Use existing tools and develop new tools for the future to enhance team's ability to serve the customer and beat the competition.

QUALIFICATIONS

Unique Qualifications: I take network security more seriously than anyone else. I know that some companies will steal your information from hard drives when you send them in for repairs! When you must deal with countries such as India for Tech Support, such as Microsoft and HP, I know how to move critical data to hide it from the Tech Support in question. The folks in India can easily break Microsoft encryption as they probably wrote it. I maintain an entire RFC library on my own servers. This site is open to the public http://occcsa.com/rfc I created Web Store software in Visual Basic. This is what http://InternetFindIt.com http://householdsoftware.com http://shopus24.com and http://worksoftware.biz where created with. I will invite all of my co-workers to get Top Tech Stories E-Mail every workday. I will also give all members of my current employer access to download all the software listed on worksoftware.biz for free. I maintain my own web servers and E-Mail servers and have actually had the company's web site hosted at my house during a two week ISP outage. I continue to do Top Tech Stories from my house. Top Tech Stories is a daily technical news source that I also E-Mail to anyone. This is a public web site techjim.com. I have to stay current anyway, and I don't mind sharing the wealth! I will invite all employees of my current employer to get on the E-Mail list for Top Tech Stories. I also have an archive that I will gladly share. This keeps you up-to-date with viruses, Windows Updates, new hardware, and software and such. There is even an audio version done with a voice synthesizer. I maintain my own development tools. I own and maintain all of the software at all of the following e-commerce sites: http://shopus24.com http://householdsoftware.com and http://worksoftware.biz To include Web Hits, Search For, House Map, Super Ping, Internet Find It, DJ MP3, Photo to Web, Download, World Time, PC Backup, List to Clipboard, Sync Laptop, Slide Show, Hex, Text Accumulator, Compare, Schedule Execute, Money, and Web Browser. I also have hundreds of programs written in Visual Basic that I use for my self only (over 500). I also created Web Store software that publishes the web store sites. I created Web Builder to create the Top Tech Stories news web site (techjim.com). Source code samples can be provided on request. RD ( http://householdsoftware.com/item0000026/ is a research and development tool that allows you to use many computers for your searches with Internet Find It ( http://householdsoftware.com/item0000007/ I can setup multi-ISP connections. I have two Internet Service Providers (ISP) right here in Gainesville, Texas.

Network Security: I have automated most tasks having to do with network security! I have written corporate policies on network security to include what type of web sites a person should or should not visit. I have written software to parse logs from windows, firewalls, and I know why people still download free music and screen savers! These are still two of the most common ways of loading Spyware and viruses on PCs and servers! I have always recommended staying away from ActiveX Web sites! I do a Top Tech Stories news letter everyday and part of this is the latest worms, viruses, spyware, adware, and windows updates. This newsletter is provided for customer education! http://techjim.com Customer education must be more than a letter one reads and signs when they start working, in IT security, customer education is almost a daily requirement! Top Tech Stories helps with this.
